On the first visit which took place on 6th September, the workers of the company brought and installed the first version of the overpressure air-conditioning. The first success was a fast fall of almost 20% during the first days.
Unfortunately, another fall of humidity to a number which is necessary for the mummies to be placed in the tomb didn´t take place. That´s why they brought another type of overpressure air-conditioning on 17th October. To make the microclimate in the tomb better, it is necessary for the device to work for some time until the climate of the air corridor, from where the air to the tomb is pumped, dries. Cold weather, which we are looking for, could help it as well.
A control humidity measure of the floor, walls and coffin stands has been made. The walls´ humidity is 97% in some places. b is pumped, dries. Cold weather, which we are looking for, could help it as well.
The next step of making the microclimate in the tomb better is the installation of double window glass. The Dynal Company had insulating double glass into windows made. Mr. Milan Houda is going to put them into the current window frames in order to prevent the windows from water condensation and its streaming on the walls and their humectation. The whole replacement of the glass is financed by the Gryspek Citizen Association.
